Electrical Transmission & Distribution
Our T&D team has been integral to our community’s power grid for three decades.
Electrical Transmission & Distribution
BESCO’s linemen offer a wide range of services to meet the electrical distribution needs of utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, and consumers across Tennessee and the Southeast region.
How BESCO Performs Transmission & Distribution Projects
In the public sector, BESCO works with the Department of Transportation on road widening and line relocations and partners with local municipalities and power providers on system maintenance and line upgrades. BESCO self-performs the overhead line work for facility electrical and power systems for many of our commercial and industrial customers.

Trained Skilled Craftworkers
T&D line workers are journeyman electricians, but their apprentice school and training are specific to overhead line work, high voltage lines, substations, and underground utilities. BESCO superintendents and supervisors work closely with SELCAT—the apprenticeship training program partnered with the local IBEW and NECA—to identify, select, and train the region’s most talented T&D electricians.
Where We Work
BESCO is licensed in 43 states while maintaining our long-standing history of supporting communities and customers in Tennessee and the surrounding regions. Depending on the project location and scope, we will handle any additional endorsements required on top of our existing state and local licenses to get the job done.
