Job Description

Controller will report directly to the CEO. A financial controller has complete oversight of the company’s finances in order to ensure the books are accurate and that everything is accounted for in the company. He/she prepares reports on a regular basis that include monthly financial statements, cost reports, budgeting, and forecasting reports. Controller will also implement financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.


  • Supervise and oversee all daily accounting processes.
  • Direct Report for all staff accountants, Accounts Payable, Information Technology (IT), and Payroll
  • Ensure all appropriate internal controls/safeguards are established, maintained and monitored for all relative departments.
  • Oversee month end process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Review monthly budgets and sales projections returned by appropriate cost center management.
  • Review daily bank reconciliations for payroll and operating bank accounts.
  • Work with bank representatives as needed.
  • Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled on a regular basis (at least monthly).
  • Identify accounting issues or changes in laws, evaluate the impact on company operations, work with appropriate company personnel to establish and publish standards.
  • Prepare annual sales forecasts and cost budgets with input from appropriate company personnel.
  • Review and approve check runs.
  • Review overdue invoices to determine cause and work with appropriate company personnel to resolve.
  • Ensure company compliance with Federal and State payroll laws and regulations.
  • Review requests for IT expenditures and relay final approval to IT.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis of department expenditures.
  • Analyze departments for appropriate staffing levels.
  • Maintain education sufficient to lead appropriate departments.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for each department.
  • Schedule and hold meetings with all departments which report to Controller for planning, control and employee morale purposes.
  • Work with outside auditors to provide information needed to complete annual audit as well as client audit requirements.
  • Work with Parent Company, Controller and other team members to provide support and information as needed.


  • Accounting degree & CPA license
  • Minimum 10 years of CFO or Controller experience
  • Two to five years public accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Financial Software, tracking budget expenses, analyzing information, and developing budgets.
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills required.
  • Proven leadership background.
  • Excellent managerial skills in developing standards.
  • Strong background in Corporate Finance.

Manager who can manage multiple complex electrical commercial/industrial projects in a fast-
paced environment. Immediate openings in our Knoxville, TN; Nashville, TN; and Lexington, KY offices.


  • Coordinates project start-up and mobilization
  • Conducts preconstruction meetings
  • Point of contact for the client, architect, engineers, and governmental entities
  • Oversees all aspects of the project, including: issuing all subcontractors, approving all vendor
    invoices, monitoring cost of self-performed work, and pricing and issuing of project changes
  • Responsible for overseeing quality control on project
  • Monitors Project Schedule to remain compliant with the Project Contract
